ON-SITE DOCUMENT CONTROL SPECIALIST
This position is: Full Time
Position Location: Shreveport, LA
DURATION - Approximately 28 weeks.

Scope

Performs most documentation functions including: Transmittal preparation, monitoring data flow and ensuring work processes are in place. Must be familiar with Information Management / Document Management Control work acumen.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Qualifications and Experience

Requires 5 years of experience in document / information management

Exceptional office skills

Must be computer proficient

Must be able to work individually and in a team environment

Strong interpersonal skills

A quick learner with attention to detail

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

Records and initiates distribution of engineering deliverables and vendor documents

Responsible for the copying, distribution, mail preparation and filing of transmittals and associated data

Assists in the accumulation of vendor data and other technical data for job data books, equipment folders and job closeout

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports, correspondence and instruction documentation. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of clients, managers, designers and engineers.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with simple mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Physical Demands

Occasionally may conduct or participate in a field trip to an operating unit or construction site. This requires normal hearing, the ability to stand, walk, reach, climb and balance, clear close and distance vision, depth perception and the ability to focus. Lifting up to 25 pounds may be required.

Work Environment

Normal work environment will be in project trailers in an operating plant at the construction site with moderate noise. This may require exposure to outdoor weather conditions, loud noise, and work near moving mechanical parts, electrical energy, construction equipment, vibration, fumes, chemicals and airborne particles.

All candidates must pass background checks, drug screening, qualify for issuance of TWIC credentials, and pass client site specific safety training requirements.
